Tour Operator Overview

Fort Ancient is a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as being on the "short list" for World Heritage site status.

Tour groups can choose between one- and two-hour tour options.

Choose Your Own Adventure!

A two hour tour option, recommended to appreciate the full scope of the site, includes:
• A guided tour of the 9,000 sq. ft. Museum, with a discussion of the history—and prehistory —of the Ohio Valley spanning more than 15,000 years.
• A visit to the prehistoric garden and a reconstructed Hopewell dwelling.
• A guided motor coach drive along the length of the site, approximately ¾ mile.
• The opportunity to disembark and take in the spectacular view of the Little Miami River Valley at the North Overlook

The one hour tour option includes:
• A 40 minute visit in the Museum and gift shop, and
• A quick 20 minute ride through the 100 acre site with an experienced tour guide.

Admission rates for motor coach tours are $5.00 per person; the coach driver and tour operator are admitted free.
