Community Involvement

Volunteer

Fort Ancient could not serve this community without the support of dedicated volunteers. From teens working towards National Honor Society requirements, to adults interested in Ohio’s pre-history, to Seniors with decades of talent and knowledge they are eager to share, Fort Ancient’s volunteer program is designed to match every skill and desire in the appropriate capacity.

Community Partnerships

Fort Ancient, SunWatch and the Boonshoft Museum are fortunate to have earned the respect of thousands from outside of the institutional walls. This is evidenced by the partnerships that have been fostered with other leading institutions, including the University of Dayton, Wright State University, and nearly every major museum in the region. Relationships built on mutual respect with the Dayton Art Institute, Dayton History, the National Museum of the US Air Force, the City of Dayton, Five Rivers MetroParks, the Dayton Public Library, and Morgan’s Outdoor Adventures, among many others, further point to the importance of the Society’s mission, but maybe more significantly to the reputation of the Society’s professionals.
