Fort Ancient is an American Indian hilltop enclosure built nearly 2000 years ago, situated on a terrace overlooking the Little Miami River.

Archaeological excavations from have revealed 18,000 feet of well-preserved earthen embankment walls, which enclose ceremonial space.

Fort Ancient can be viewed via serene hiking trails and ovelooks. An indoor Museum features exhibits detailing prehistoric and historic Ohio native peoples.
